François Devienne (January 31, 1759 - September 5, 1803) was a French composer and professor for flute at the Paris Conservatory.

François Devienne was innate inside Joinville (Haute-Marne), as the youngest of xiv babies of a saddlemaker. Devienne died at the sanatorium around Charentin touching Paris on September Five, 1803, probably of overworking.

His output is c. 300 implemental works that come mostly written for wind instruments. There are the Xii of flute concertos, sinfonias for wood, quartets & trios for different ensembles, 12 operas & Quadruplet bassoon concertos, around an elegant melodic style.
